It's a Girl!

So I am about 7 months pregnant now and still in a daze since finding out the news that baby #3 is a girl. The mind, being the funny thing it is, begins to play tricks on you and after 2 boys for some reason I thought that was all I could create. Needless to say, this is a fallacy for the sonogram picture is crystal clear. And with two grandma's in town she is already becoming the spoiled little princess we all envision her to be. The excitement has grown to such a level that I find myself dragging out the boys' baby books to compare the sonogram pictures, in fear for what would happen if this baby truly is a boy. So, the baby shower is scheduled three months out, when for baby boy #2 I wasn't even sure we were going to have a shower. Does a mother throw her own shower? I didn't think so and waited in fear that the delivery would happen before any mention of a shower. But now that its a girl, the whole experience for the rest of the family is night and day. Of course, daddy and I would have been completely find with three boys, brothers! But I cannot say the same for everyone else. Also, finding it much easier to knit for baby girl, much like shopping for a girl there are too many options to fathom. Today I have about 4 projects on my needles with a few more piled up in anticipation. I regret to say that I did not have this knitting excitement for the boys and they have a few boring hats and hand warmers. Perhaps I will feel inspired to find some matching boy knits to conjure up in the mean time. I don't know...

A girl! Yay! Don't get me wrong, I love little boys too, but girls are just so much more fun to knit for. :) (If I knew for sure I'd have a boy, I'd so have one more baby. For some reason I really want another baby boy. Go figure.)
